Welcome to our cozy Wool Appliqué class- this time we are bringing it to you! Get ready to discover the delightful world of working with felted wool – it's a wonderfully tactile and forgiving medium, making it perfect for both beginners and experienced crafters. This class is a fantastic way to slow down, enjoy the process of hand-stitching, and create something truly unique.
Wool appliqué has roots that stretch back centuries, with early forms used for practical purposes like quilt embellishments and clothing decoration. Over time, it evolved into a beautiful art form celebrated for its rich textures and charming designs.
This class, we'll be creating an adorable "Honeybees & Strawberries" penny mat designed by the talented Buttermilk Basin. This sweet project will measure approximately 8 inches and feature charming bees buzzing around ripe strawberries. It's a perfect little piece to brighten any corner of your home or to give as a heartfelt gift.

This class if free with the purchase of the kit. This listing is for the kit to attend class. You will be notified once your kit has shipped or is ready for pick up. The week prior to class and the week of class, you will receive a detailed email regarding any set up requirements for viewing and participating. You will need to download the ZOOM (if using a tablet) or have access to zoom on a computer.
Skill Level: No prior experience is necessary to enjoy this class! However, to fully participate in our live, step-by-step instruction, you will need an electronic device with a reasonably sized screen. We recommend a tablet, laptop, or desktop computer to best view the detailed techniques. While a cellphone can work, a larger screen will enhance your viewing experience, especially when observing intricate details.
Included: You will have complete access to the recording of class and the step-by-step instructional videos for you to rewatch.
Required Materials:
The purchased kit - This kit includes everything you need: Floss, Wool, Heat N' Bond, a Needle, and the pattern.
Please have and iron & ironing board (or mat) ready to go
Small Snips or Scissors
Needle threader (if desired)
Please Note that our wool textiles vary in color and texture. If you are purchasing more than one kit, you will notice that not all kits will be exactly the same and there will be natural variations to similar pieces of wool, and some may be different in design and texture.
