Flying Geese Made Easy: A Quilting Workshop for Beginners

August 24th, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Class is limited to 6 attendees.

Join us for a fun and informative class focused on one of quilting’s most beloved—and sometimes tricky—units: flying geese! Perfect for newer quilters or anyone looking to expand their skills, this workshop will guide you through the process of making accurate flying geese using the Creative Grids Ultimate Flying Geese Ruler. We'll cover essential techniques, share helpful tips and tricks, and create a small quilt top together that incorporates flying geese, sashing, and cornerstones. Please note: we will not be layering or quilting in class—students will finish those steps on their own. Come ready to learn, create, and have a great time!

Skill Level: You must be comfortable using a quilting ruler, rotary cutter, and iron. You should have some basic quilt-piecing experience and be ready to expand your skills.

**You MUST be familiar with using a sewing machine. If you bring your own please make sure it is in good working order, has a full bobbin, a fresh needle, and a ¼ inch quilting foot.
If you use our machine it will be ready to go. If you have never used one, please come a little early to familiarize yourself with the machine.
**We will not have time in class for basic machine instruction.

Included:
You will receive your pre-cut fabric kit and ruler the day of class. Fabrics may vary.

Required Materials:
Sewing machine (yours or ours) with ¼ inch quilt foot
