What could be better than a woolly sheep or even a whole flock of sheep to decorate a great knitting bag or everyday carryall? Choose from the small or large size and add as many pockets as you need.
Finished Sizes (Measurements are approximate):
Small: 9" (23 cm) wide, 8" (20 cm) deep and 3 1/2" (9 cm) across ends
Large: 14" (36 cm) wide, 13" (33 cm) deep and 4 (10 cm) across ends
Yarn Requirements:
Bulky wight wool that will felt easily and firmly. Approximately 300 (620) yds (374 [567] meters) for a tote with two end pockets. Side pockets require an additional 55 (120) yds (50 [110] meters) per pocket.
Needles:
US size 11 (8mm) 24" (60cm) circular needle
Two DP needles for strap in size 11 (8mm) for small tote or size 13 (9mm) for large tote
Other Supplies:
Crochet hook size 8 mm (US L or N)
Stitch marker
8 coilless pins or split ring markers
Tapestry needle
Needle Felting Supplies:
Several shades of natural fleece plus a tiny amount of black
Felting needle
Foam for work service
Unfelted Gauge:
11 to 12 sts and 15 rows = 4" (10cm) in stockinette stitch using a single strand of wool
