This original primitive rug hooking pattern/design called WOODLAND GAZE features two deer gazing at a cardinal in a tree. My color choices included muted tans, greens, reds and a rust/olive green plaid for the top border. The background was hooked with a variety of dark browns. The tree, cardinal and skinny parts of the deer were hooked with a #6 cut while everything else was a #8 cut. Note: This is only for the pattern, not the actual rug.
Pattern Includes a color photo and drawing of the design on one FULL SIZE sheet of paper which means no cutting, taping or piecing on your part. Simply, trace the pattern onto red dot and then onto your preferred foundation. The finished rug measures 9 inches by 17 inches.
