Karen Whooley - Desert Sunset - Crochet Pattern

As the sun drops below the horizon the colors of scarlet and amber enflame the sky, Desert Sunset reminds me of a gorgeous hot night in the desert. Worked from side to side, this crescent-shaped shawl is worked all in one piece including the edging. Using a simple increase in the solid body of the shawl, you can enlarge or reduce the size just be changing the repeats.

Finished Size:

60 inches wide by 15 inches deep at longest point

Yarn:

645 yards (590m) fingering weight yarn

Hooks:

US size E/4 (3.5mm) crochet hook or size needed for gauge

Gauge:

16 dc and 10 dc rows = 4 inches blocked
