Kinton by Jennifer Sadler - Knitting Pattern

Kinton is a lacy spring and summer top, designed to be worn with 2-4 inches of positive ease for a relaxed fit, maximizing comfort. Knit in Magpie Fibers Domestic fingering weight yarn, you’ll be left with a top that is full of bounce and gorgeous stitch definition, all the while using wool grown and processed in the USA. Magpie Fibers is based out of Frederick, Maryland, a few hours north of Kinton Knob - a mountain in the Appalachian Mountain range. All yarns are sourced and hand-dyed by Dami Hunter and Tracey Lambert in their small studio. With a focus on luxurious fibers, your fingers will be left itching for more!

Kinton is worked top down, using a provisional cast on. The back is worked first, then shoulder stitches are picked up from the provisional cast on and worked down the front. The bottom of the top is shaped with short rows, creating an elongated back hem.

Suggested Yarn: 2 (3, 3, 3, 4) skeins of Magpie Fibers Domestic Fingering (400 yards/100 grams, 366 meters/3.5 oz per skein) or 800 (920, 1040, 1160, 1280 yards /731 (842, 950, 1060, 1170) meters of fingering weight yarn

Suggested needles: US 3 (3.25 mm)

Gauge: 24 stitches x 36 rows = 4 inches in stockinette, after blocking

Notions: 8 stitch markers, scrap yarn or holder for stitches
