Scalloped Basket Class with Marie

Class limited to 6 attendees.

Come sew something cute and useful! In this class, we’ll be making the largest size from Minki Kim’s Scalloped Basket Trio—a charming fabric basket with sweet, scalloped details that’s perfect for organizing, gifting, or adding a handmade touch to your space. This fun and easy project is ideal for beginners - we’ll work with foam stabilizer and learn how to clip curves and pivot at points! You’ll leave class with a finished basket as well as the pattern and skills to make more in 3 different sizes.

Skill Level:
Students should have basic sewing experience, be comfortable using a sewing machine, and be able to sew an accurate seam allowance.

What to bring to class:
Sharp scissors
Fabric marking pen
Pins or Wonder Clips
A hand sewing needle

You MUST be familiar with using a sewing machine. If you bring your own, please make sure it is in good working order, has a full bobbin, a fresh needle, and a ¼ inch quilting foot.
If you use our machine, it will be ready to go. If you have never used one, please come a little early to familiarize yourself with the machine.
We will not have time in class for basic machine instruction.


Included: 
Minki Kim’s Scalloped Basket Trio pattern and fabric kit to complete the project in class (fabrics may vary). We will be making the large basket in class.

Note: If you need to purchase materials for this class, please come to the shop during regular shop hours- or 30 minutes prior to class starting. Yarn should be wound prior to class.
