Have you always wanted to try hand embroidery but didn't know where to start? This class is perfect for absolute beginners! You'll be guided step-by-step through the fundamental techniques needed to confidently create your own beautiful, stitched designs.

What You'll Learn:

  • Setting Up Your Workspace: Discover how to properly hoop your fabric for a smooth stitching experience.
  • Mastering the Basics: Learn easy and secure methods for threading your needle and starting and ending your thread neatly.
  • Essential Embroidery Stitches: We'll explore 2-3 foundational stitches, including the versatile running stitch, the strong back stitch, and potentially the smooth satin stitch, textured stem stitch, or charming French knot (depending on class pace). You'll gain hands-on practice with each stitch.
  • Bringing Your Ideas to Life: Apply your newly learned skills to a simple project, allowing you to create a small, embroidered piece to take home.
  • Caring for Your Creations: Get valuable tips on how to finish and care for your hand-stitched treasures.

What to Bring (if not provided):

  • Small, sharp scissors or snips
  • For those not purchasing a kit: 4-6" Embroidery Hoop, 8" Square of white/cream or a light color fabric, Red, Pink, and Green 6 Strand DMC floss

No prior experience is necessary. All skill levels are welcome!
