Flatmates Pouch Trio Sewing Class with Marie

Class limited to 6 attendees.

Our classes require a minimum of 2 (two) attendees for a class to be held. Should we not meet the minimum requirements, you will be notified no less than 7 days prior, and you will be refunded for your purchase. 

Join us at Humblestitch to create your own set of stylish pouches using Minki Kim’s Flatmates Trio pattern! In this fun, hands-on workshop, we’ll work together step-by-step to craft these cute, functional bags while learning how to install zippers, do some simple quilting for adding texture, add binding, and sew with clear vinyl. You'll complete at least one pouch during class, with plenty of time to finish two or even all three sizes, leaving you with versatile new skills and adorable bags perfect for organizing your supplies. 

All fabric, interfacing, pattern, and zippers needed are included with the class.

Tools required:

• Sewing machine (or use one of ours)

• Wonder clips

• Pins

• Handsewing needle

• Sharp fabric scissors 

• Utility scissors for trimming zippers

• A pencil

• Quilting ruler -  at least a 6”x12” ruler or a 10” square ruler

• Rotary cutter

• If you are using your own machine please bring a quilting guide if you have one.

We will have an ironing station set up to share but if you have a small personal mat and iron you are welcome to bring them!

We will have a cutting mat set up to share but if you have a small one of your own you are welcome to bring it!

You MUST be familiar with using a sewing machine. If you bring your own, please make sure it is in good working order, has a full bobbin, a fresh needle, and a ¼ inch quilting foot.

If you use our machine, it will be ready to go. If you have never used one, please come a little early to familiarize yourself with the machine.

We will not have time in class for basic machine instruction.
